Building a computer from scratch used to be limited to PC enthusiasts and people with formal training. With plenty of help materials and tips on the Internet, building a computer is now possible for those with minimal or no training on PC assembly. Is it better to build your own computer instead of buying a complete set from the PC store? Both has its pros and cons.

In terms of ease of set up, pre-built PCs reign over homebuilt PCs. With pre-built systems, the computer store takes care of everything from hardware assembly to software installation. Shortcut keys ABCs

Shortcut keys help provide an easier and usually quicker method of navigating and using computer software programs. Shortcut keys are commonly accessed by using the Alt (on IBM compatible computers), command key (on Apple computers), Ctrl, or Shift in conjunction with a single letter. The de facto standard for listing a shortcut is listing the modifier key, a plus symbol, and the single character. In other words, "ALT+S" is telling you to press the Alt key and while continuing to hold the Alt key, press the S key to perform the shortcut.
